MEDITERRANEAN HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Statements of the MHC  Executive Committee

PARTICIPATION IN THE CHAMPIONSHIPS OF NON-MEDITERRANEAN COUNTRIES

The goal is that the Confederation must always have, in each Championship, a Mediterranean Champion. Therefore, it’s decided that guests, if they rank in one of the first three positions, will receive a special prize, but the first, second and third place will have to be assigned to a Mediterranean country following the final standings.

TRAINING AND UPGRADING OF REFEREES IN THE MHC CHAMPIONSHIPS RULES

Participating countries must make the effort to designate young couples who are involved in continental projects. The proposals  will be evaluated by the MHC, that will decide the admissions and the number of the couples. The organizing country must take charge of the referees 3 days before the start of the Championship, for a dedicated training course, to which are allowed also the young referees of the host country. The MHC will be activated so that the courses take place in cooperation with the IHF and the Continental Federation of the host country.

TELEVISION AND WEB RIGHTS FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIPS

These rights must remain the property of the Confederation, so that trade agreements can be concluded. The Championships are held under the aegis of the Mediterranean Handball Confederation. The MHC holds and owns all rights relating to  the Championship. Within the Protocol of the event, which will contain all the agreed specifications,  the MHC can decide to give this right, fully or partly, to the Organizing Federation.
